These terms cover howismyvoice.com, Violet Speech Engine and Sunlight Speech Engine (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Copyright and ownership
© 2026 howismyvoice.com. All rights reserved. The Service, including its software, voice analysis methods, calibration, scoring, designs, text, graphics and logos, is owned by its creator and protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.
What you may do
You may use the Service in your web browser for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may share videos you make with it, including on social media.
What you may not do
- Copy, reproduce, modify, translate or create derivative works from the Service's software or content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, deobfuscate or otherwise attempt to extract the source code, algorithms, calibration or scoring methods, whether by hand, with automated tools or with AI.
- Scrape, crawl, mirror, frame or download the Service or its files by automated means.
- Redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense or host the Service or any part of it, or use it to build a competing product.
- Remove or alter any copyright notice or watermark.
Your privacy
Voice analysis runs entirely on your device. Your voice, camera video and recordings are not uploaded to us. Videos you record stay on your device unless you choose to share them. The app stores your settings in your browser only.
Not medical or professional advice
Results describe how a voice is likely to be heard, based on acoustic measurements. They are estimates for practice and entertainment, not a diagnosis, clinical assessment or professional voice therapy. If you have concerns about your voice or vocal health, talk to a qualified professional. Stop if anything feels strained or painful.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Results may be inaccurate. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the creator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service.
Third-party components
The read-back voice was generated with Kokoro-82M, used under the Apache License 2.0. Fonts are served by Google Fonts under their respective open licences. These components remain under their own licences.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
